Jacques Leslie, began his career as a journalist and then became a book author. He was significantly influenced by his work in Asia and Southeast Asia. Mr. Leslie wrote a book about his work as an embedded reporter during the Vietnam War (The Mark: A War Correpondent’s Memoir of Vietnam and Cambodia). He has recently written about water issues, and in 1999, published a book about global water scarcity, called Deep Water: The Epic Struggle over Dams, Displaced People, and the Environment.
